Chunru has spent 18 years as a preschool teacher in China, as well as 9 years of experience in the California Bay Area. She received AA and Infant/Toddler Specialist certification in Child Development from Merritt College in Oakland, and took additional Montessori classes in order to become Montessori certified. She worked as a preschool teacher in play-based,Montessori and teaching mandarin from 2012 to 2022. She was also a teacher and acting director of Les Petits Francophones Preschool in Oakland from 2017 to 2021. Chunru feels a great sense of passion and enjoyment from teaching children, and her dream is to open her own current preschool known as the “Joyful Alameda Preschool” in Alameda. She enjoys spending her “free” time exploring the Bay Area with her husband and three lovely daughters, often reading books and cooking in her spare time.
